Dennis Walsh is the owner and founder of Walsh Photographic Design. He has spent more than four decades photographing families, business professionals and corporate events, combining technical craftsmanship with a relaxed, personal approach to photography.

More Than Four Decades Behind a Camera

Dennis opened Walsh Photographic Design in 1981 and relocated the studio to Park City, Utah, in 1992. Over the years, he and his team have photographed generations of families, children and high school seniors, along with professional headshots, corporate meetings, conferences and events.

While photography has changed dramatically during that time, Dennis’s approach has remained centered on craftsmanship, personal attention and creating photographs that stand the test of time.

For portrait clients, that means going beyond simply creating digital files. Dennis believes photographs become especially meaningful when they are thoughtfully created, beautifully printed and enjoyed in a family’s home. Many of the families he has photographed have returned over the years as children have grown, families have expanded and new generations have arrived.

Park City and Walsh Photographic Design

Dennis and his family moved to Park City in 1992, establishing Walsh Photographic Design’s home in the community. The Park City studio includes an indoor portrait studio as well as outdoor portrait gardens with ponds, landscaping, and a waterfall.

The Walsh team also photographs families throughout the Park City area and in clients’ homes, allowing each portrait experience to be designed around the family, the season, and the way the finished photographs will ultimately be displayed.

Portraits, Headshots & Corporate Events

Dennis’s work extends beyond family portraiture. He also photographs professional headshots, corporate meetings, conferences, incentive travel programs and company events for businesses, organizations and meeting planners.

Working alongside Randy Anderson, Dennis photographs corporate assignments in Park City and Salt Lake City as well as events and incentive programs throughout the United States and at destinations worldwide.

Away From Photography

Away from the studio, Dennis enjoys spending time with his wife, Sherry, and their family. Together they raised a wonderful son, Kevin, who is married to Christine and lives in Chicago. With Kevin out of the house, Murphy, the Goldendoodle, now gets most of the attention! Travel has also long been an important part of his life, both personally and through photography assignments that have taken him to destinations around the world.

After more than four decades as a professional photographer, what Dennis values most are the relationships that have developed along the way. Many clients have become lifelong friends, and some families have returned to Walsh Photographic Design for portraits across multiple generations.

Dennis is grateful to his family and clients for their years of support. Dennis’ imagery has stood the test of time and led to many lifelong relationships with his clients.
