How did I get here?
Hello, my name is Randy Anderson. I was born and raised in Sandy, Utah. I began to photograph my friends playing soccer in middle school, and a camera has been in my hands since. Whether on my mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to Guatemala or the ancient Peruvian ruins of Machu Picchu, photography has been a lifelong passion. I am lucky to have made it my career for the past 25 years.
I began working as a photographer at the age of 18. I spent ten years as an on-mountain photographer at Park City Mountain Resort. I started working with Dennis at Walsh Photographic Design in 2005, and as they say, “the rest is history”!
I am a passionate student. I studied sports medicine at The University of Utah and Business Management at the University of Phoenix. I spend several weeks a year attending advanced photography workshops with some of the world’s most renowned photographers. I am also a certified drone pilot.
I married my lovely wife Karina in 2003. We have two children: Kyle is currently studying at the University of Chicago, and Lidia, the princess is wrestling for her high school. Karina is from Peru, so we have made it a goal only to speak Spanish in the home. Having a bilingual home has been invaluable to our children as we teach them about different cultures.
You can find me on the sports fields when I am not behind the camera. It does not take much to get me talking about sports.
Well, now you know a little bit more of my story. Now, let’s get acquainted. What’s your story?
